2024 Starting to get noticed. 2025 time to scale. But how?
Mission to Marsh is an NGO who made it their mission to scale peatland protection & restoration.
They spend 2024 building great solutions for peatlands like the MOORATHON, a peatland documentary and their first restoration project in Germany.
They started to get noticed in Germany. To scale their impact it was now crucial to gain more attention and financial supporters, to ensure that the strong foundation they laid will transform to more protected peatland.
3 Key Challenges blocked their impact growth
Peatlands have an image problem
Peatlands are not the sexiest ecosystems to get people excited about. Yet they store up to 4 times more CO2 than forests.
Many people are unaware of the importance of peatlands, so there was and is a huge need to educate individuals and companies about their crucial importance.
Founder team running out of time in a day
Alex is great in business especially marketing. Yet he has to oversee the entire NGO. Finance, product, sales, HR… everything.
He wanted someone that he can disucss with on eye level about the obstacles & opportunities he daily came across. But most importantly someone that executes the actions right after the meeting.
Strike balance between homebase & expansion
They started to get noticed in Germany. Yet to scale their nature impact aligned with their mission and strategy they needed to expand beyond Germany.
Strengthen their homebase while expanding beyond Germany was a challenge that needed to be balanced.
So we got cracking
Our Founder Oliver Dauert became Fractional Head of Growth and work one day a week exclusively to unblock these challenges for Mission to Marsh.
Before getting onboarded we ran our “First Impression Analysis”. A deep documentation of the existing user experience and customer journey for their B2B & B2C customers. To identify & execute quick wins.
After onboarding we analyzed the NGO with our Nature Impact Scaling Formula for the biggest levers to scale their impact.
Together we agreed that the Attention & Money are the biggest levers for scaling impact and that people & product could be deprioritized.

Sum up of 9 months together
Before our partnership Alex & Anni created a solid foundation for their peatland NGO. Yet they knew that they needed a reliable partner to capitalize on this foundation in 2025 to scale their impact.
There was no way the 3 of them could deliver their vision with high quality, without numerous burnouts.
Thanks to our partnership we managed to scale their peatland protection by 63%, while creating even stronger systems that will allow them now in 2026 to even top this impact growth.
Even though we completed our mission with them, we remain their #1 fan.
Alexander Kornelsen shares his experience
“It is a pleasure to recommend Oliver Dauert, a visionary eco-preneur whose work stands at the intersection of biodiversity protection, social innovation, and community empowerment.
Oliver is one of those rare individuals who combines deep ecological knowledge with the entrepreneurial mindset needed to bring about real-world change. Whether he’s restoring habitats, supporting regenerative land use models, or mobilizing communities around local conservation efforts, Oliver brings a sense of purpose, creativity, and perseverance to everything he does.
His projects don’t just aim to preserve nature, they actively regenerate ecosystems while building bridges between people.
Oliver understands that real impact emerges when environmental solutions are rooted in local culture and driven by the people who live closest to the land.
He’s a natural collaborator, bringing together farmers, activists, researchers, and entrepreneurs with a shared mission to protect biodiversity and build resilient futures.
Above all, Oliver leads by example. His integrity, humility, and hands-on approach have inspired many, including myself.
I’m confident that any initiative he is part of will benefit not only from his expertise, but from the care, energy, and vision he brings to every challenge.
If you’re looking for someone to drive ecological entrepreneurship while weaving together nature and community, Oliver Dauert is an outstanding choice.”
